- Sash Masters will remove Staff Beads; Parting Beads; Sash Weights; top and bottom Sashes and Sash Cords and dispose of discarded materials appropriately.
- Both Sashes would be planed where necessary to give an improved fit. Any exposed wood would be filled and rubbed down and then painted with a quality Dulux Weathershield Paint System, consisting of primer; three coats of undercoat and one coat of gloss this will provide all weather protection for 6 years if used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and correctly applied.
- Machine router out each Sash with a channel to insert a Draughtproofing pile.
- Fit new Parting Beads and Head Beads with Brush Seals.
- Replace new Staff Beads with mitred joints and insert Draughtproofing pile.
- Replace all Sash Cords and fit to each Sash accordingly.
- Wax and/or replace Pulley Wheels and adjust weights where necessary to balance out the Sashes.
- Test Sash Windows for correct alignment and performance and adjust Window Furniture where necessary.
- We then supply and fit the Sash or Box Frame and replace the sill if necessary.
- Re-glaze Sashes using either Pilkington ‘K’ 24mm Double Glazed Sealed Units; Toughened Glass, Stained Glass; Lead Glass or Hand Blown Glass or Crown Sheet Glass.
- Renew Sash Lifts, Sash Pulls and Sash Fasteners, replace with chrome or solid brass window furniture.
- Renew high security chrome or solid brass window restrictors / locks.
