These bay windows, sash & front door were from the Regency period between 1800 & 1820 circa. These windows were replaced with new boxes & sashes, they were originally single glazed, upon request they were double glazed using 4mm 'E' glass, 16mm warm edge spacer bar & 4mm float glass. All these units were toughened as requested. All these units were Argon filled for a low value & better environmental benefits.
All ironmongery & security locks were matched to the existing. All joinery was matched to the existing joinery. The sashes were constructed from hardwood. All joinery was painted using a micro-porous paint system. The front door & mouldings were meticulously restored & matched where necessary, parts of the door were strengthened, repairs where also made using hardwood patches; two part wood filler was used. Red oxide paint was chemically removed & a heat gun was used with a scraper to scrape off the lead paint underneath; personal protection equipment was used such as, breathing mask; goggles & gloves. All existing ironmongery & door furniture were also matched. This again was also painted using a micro-porous paint system.
All the traditional characteristics were enhanced & modern technology was used for environmental benefits and thermal qualities.
