Regency Box Sash Windows & lead top box sashes
This Regency bay window & lead roof was in the Royal Leamington Spa CV31 area of Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
This regency bay & lead roof were 1820 circa. This bay was completely refurbished & restored using traditional English Carpentry & Joinery skills. The boxes were in excellent order, they were restored with hardwood patches being planted in them to strengthen them & maintain their original character. The upper & lower sashes were single glazed & at the clients request Pilkington Legacy single glazing was used this had the thermal performance of conventional double glazing. The old style regency frames were taken back to the workshop & meticulously restored & refurbished back to their former glory, they were painted with a micro-porous paint system.

All masonry was repaired, restored and finished with Weathershield masonry paint.

The lead roof was stripped back & all rotten timber was replaced with high-pressurised preservative treated hardwood timber. The lead roof was then carefully re-built & restored to match its existing features.

All exterior mouldings & effects were matched where beyond repair, however, a majority of this was restored & repaired using the original features & materials where possible. Reclaimed materials to match the period were also used.
