Victorian Box Sash window with Stone surround.
This was an early Victorian window 1855 circa. The sashes & cills were replaced, these were constructed from European Oak. These were painted using a micro-porous paint system. These windows were originally single glazed, however the boxes were in good condition & it was requested that the glass specifications for the window be changed to double glazed units being 4mm Pilkington 'K' Thermal Glass,10mm warm edge spacer bar & 4mm float glass. These units were toughened. All joinery matched existing joinery. All ironmongery was matched with existing ironmongery and all security locks fitted were more robust.
All stucco work was raked out where loose, then carefully restored & the concrete cill was replaced & masonry repairs were made where necessary. The exterior was completely overhauled whilst maintaining its period features & character.
The interior wooden Colonial shutters were completely Custom Made they were painted with a micro-porous paint in a matt finish to a very high Standard.
