The roof was stripped off and all roofing battens were changed with tannalised timber. Red welsh roofing tiles were matched and replaced. A casement window was fitted into a canopy roof in the loft conversion. The window was supplied with 44mm triple glazed, argon filled units; the glass specifications were as follows: 4mm low 'E' glass with a white 16mm warm edge spacer bar; 4mm float glass with a white 16m warm edge spacer bar; then finally the last pane was 4mm Acoustic glass. This was a toughened sealed unit resulting in a very low U value for the sealed unit, the window conforming to and beyond Part L building regulations.
White treated shiplap boards were fitted to face. All brickwork to the face underneath was re-pointed.
